Line Route Survey and EIA on a 330 kV line between Ivory Coast and Ghana


Establish a stable connection from Riviera in Côte d’Ivoire to Ikeja West in Nigeria, passing through Prestea, Aboadze, Volta (Ghana), Mome Hagou (Togo), and Sakete (Benin).

The project is of strategic importance to WAPP-EEEAO which aims to establish a regional electricity market in West Africa by developing key infrastructure projects that foster power exchange across the sub-region.


Determine the most appropriate Line route with the lowest environmental impacts, in cohesion with technical and economical constraints.


Line Route Survey (300 km in savannah and forest areas):

Assessment and determination of line route

Undertake detailed survey and profiling of line route including topographic survey

Drafting and preparation of maps and drawings.

Close collaboration with Consultant executing Feasibility Study

Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA):

Identification & Assessment of Potential Environmental Impacts

Identification of Mitigation Measures

Conduct Public Consultations

Preparation of a Resettlement Action Plan (RAP)

Preparation of Environmental & Social Management Plan (ESMP)

Preparation of Illustrative Materials

Training by transfer of technological know-how through training of counterpart staff and and training workshops implementation in both Ghana & Ivory Coast.
